You drive to the course just to practice putting, or your short game never gets the time it needs. Pure Turf & Hardscape USA installs putting greens in Las Vegas, NV that let you practice right outside the back door.
A green that looks good is easy. A green that rolls true takes careful base work.
Putting greens are some of the most-requested features in our turf projects, from small single-cup greens beside a patio to long multi-cup greens that run the length of the yard.
When You Need a Putting Green
If you love golf, want a fun space for the kids, or want a backyard feature guests notice, a putting green fits. Greens work in small corners, along a side yard, or as the centerpiece of a turf backyard.
Many customers add a green while they are already installing turf, so the whole yard is built at once.
A green is also a good use of an awkward space. A narrow side yard, a corner behind the pool or a strip along the back wall can all become a practice area. Greens look sharp next to pavers and decorative rock, and they stay green with no watering.
Families use them too. Kids love a few cups to aim for, and a green gives guests something to do at a backyard party.
A putting green can also be the first piece of a larger plan, with more turf, pavers or a patio added later around it.
Our Putting Green Process
We help you choose the size, shape and number of cups, and show it in a 3D design. Our crew digs out the area, builds and compacts a smooth base, and shapes gentle breaks if you want them.
Then we install putting turf, set the cups, add fringe turf around the edges and finish the infill. The result is a surface that rolls consistently. A supervisor checks the work every day.
Putting turf is shorter and denser than lawn turf so the ball rolls smoothly. The fringe around it is a taller turf that frames the green and gives you a place to chip from. Getting the transition between the two clean is detail work, and our crews take the time to do it right.
If you want breaks, we shape gentle slopes into the base before the turf goes down. Many golfers like one cup with a little break and one straight putt for practice.
Putting Green Cost in Las Vegas
Cost depends on the green's size, the number of cups, contours, fringe area and site prep. Adding a green to a larger turf project is often the most cost-effective way to do it. You get a detailed quote before work begins.
Adding a green during a full turf install usually costs less than building one later, because the crew, base materials and equipment are already on site.
